Ricky Simmonds and Stephen Jones are the UK based electronic music recording artists, best known as The Space Brothers. They also record under several other pseudonyms, including Lustral, Chakra, Oxygen & Ascension and have released material on scores of different labels, including Jackpot, Hooj Choons, Warner Brothers, MCA, Manifesto, Virgin, Ultra, Perfecto and Armada Music.

Their breakthrough single was “Shine” released in 1997, which kickstarted a prolific run which would see them chart in the UK top 40 thirteen times. With records under their Chakra alias such as “Home”“I Am” and “Love Shines Through" - they pioneered a style in trance music which had a heavy emphasis on ethereal vocals coupled with mature lyrical themes. Their debut single under their Lustral project - “Everytime” is widely regarded as one the defining records of the British trance music scene. In addition to their Space Brothers album “Shine”, Simmonds and Jones have released four albums under their Lustral alias.

A quarter of a century on from their debut single in 1997 - The Space Brothers have recently launched a four volume 25th anniversary set on Armada Music. Following on from the last three editions - "The Space Brothers - 25 Years Volume 4" will be released summer 2023.

Tim’s lucky break was when he fifilled in for a Miss Moneypenny’s DJ. He then went on to flourish at classic venues such as The Gardening Club and the legendary Madison’s in Bournemouth. With a growing reputation, he went on to play across the UK at The Cross, Peach, Po Na Na, Evolution, Club M, the Tunnel, Roar, Escape, Passion, Gate-crasher and many more. Tim has engaged huge crowds across the UK at Homelands, V Festival, South Coast Week-ender, Wakestock, Glass Butter Beach and numerous Slinky Arena Tours.

Internationally, Tim has participated at Nature One Fest in Germany, MTV/Slinky Beach party, and Boracay Beach. Regularly playing alongside the biggest names in the dance music industry, even in this exalted company, Tim more than holds his own.

His musical style incorporates everything from house, break, progressive, techno, and beyond, placing him firmly at the cutting edge of today’s DJs. Tim excelled when mixing the Slinky Albums, receiving rave reviews from press and clubbers alike and selling over 400,000 copies.

Marco Polo

Marco began his DJ career in 1994, at the tail end of the rave movement that had a defining impact on the global electronic music scene. He started out in local venues around Southampton, quickly making his mark by playing to crowds of over 600 people during his first residency.

As his popularity grew, Marco became a regular at sold-out weekly trance and house events. He went on to co-found and hold a residency at Debauchery, a leading hard dance night in Southampton. Sharing the stage with some of the biggest names of the era—such as the Tidy Boys, Anne Savage, and Lisa Pin-Up—his reputation quickly spread beyond the local scene.

This momentum led to regular bookings at major UK clubs and events, including Peach @ Camden Palace, Bagleys, The Coliseum, and large-scale events across the south of England. Now, over 30 years later, Marco is still DJing, with a vinyl collection that rivals some of the best in the UK.

Danny Rose

Danny Rose launched his DJ career in Oxford, holding long-standing residencies at venues such as Oxford Brookes SU, Park End Club, and The Coven (Squeeze Yer Lemon). Alongside his club work, he hosted weekly dance radio shows on stations including Fox FM, Oxygen FM, Passion FM, and others, building a strong local following.

Expanding beyond Oxford, Danny played at clubs across the UK—including London and Birmingham—and took his sound internationally with gigs in Ibiza, Holland, and New Zealand. His sets have featured on Kiss FM, and his own house music productions and record label gained exposure on both BBC Radio 1 and Kiss FM dance shows, as well as on compilation albums.

Danny has shared the stage with some of the biggest names in the scene, including Judge Jules, Sasha, and Alex P. He’s performed at legendary venues and events such as Bagleys, Miss Moneypenny’s, and held a residency at Bakers in Birmingham, among many others.

Today, Danny continues to evolve as a DJ and tastemaker. He hosts a weekly Saturday night dance show on accessall80s.com and runs the increasingly popular podcast radio show Club For Life, where he showcases the latest in dance music—mixing fresh talent with timeless club classics while staying true to the authentic nightclub vibe.
